About Madelyn Grace
I never really thought of myself as an artist. Growing up, I was logical, analytical, and strong academically. I placed myself in that box for a long time. It wasn’t until later in high school, when I began to lose satisfaction with being the “smart one” or the “studious one,” that I realized those weren’t things I truly loved. They were simply things I happened to be good at.
Art felt intimidating at first. When I began exploring drawing and painting, I wasn’t very good at either (sometimes I still feel like I’m not). But I loved how it made me feel. Over time, I learned to let go of the pressure to create the “perfect” piece. Instead, I discovered the quiet moments when my mind would slow down, my thoughts would soften, and painting became a place of peace.
Today, I find so much joy in exploring my creative side and blending it with my love for the ocean and tropical environments. These elements inspire much of my work and reflect the places that make me feel most at home.
My art is for everyone, but more than anything, I hope it encourages others to embrace their unexpected talents and explore the parts of themselves they may not yet know.
With Love,
Madelyn Grace
